
Kailey is an actor, educator, and fight choreographer from southern Appalachia who has a passion for classical texts, ensemble-building, and movement-based storytelling. Recent acting credits include The Taming of the Shrew (Mortal Fools Collective), The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Tempest (Vagabond Shakespeare), and Alice (South Carolina Children's Theatre).
She's been working as a teaching artist (Shakespeare & Company, Warehouse Theatre, American Shakespeare Center Theatre Camp) and theatre educator (Clemson University, South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, Mary Baldwin University) for over four years. She is a Lecturer of Theatre/Acting at Clemson University.
Kailey earned her MFA in Shakespeare and Performance from Mary Baldwin University, where she wrote an award-winning thesis on Henry V and once got the note to look "less excited" while holding a dagger on stage.
She is a founder of Mortal Fools Collective, which just wrapped up a multi-state tour of their small-scale production of The Taming of the Shrew - read a review of the show here!
